On this week’s free webinar, SBDC director Kelly Bearden will be joined by Jovan Agee, CEO of Agee Global Solutions, a government affairs company that partners with businesses, organizations and governments. Agee will discuss how small businesses can create an effective strategy and understand power dynamics to promote business growth, and how business owners can become more politically involved on issues that impact them. 
 

Agee has approximately 20 years of experience in business and community development, lobbying, and political campaigns. He has held several political appointments, the most recent as Deputy Treasurer for California where Agee was tasked with developing the state’s housing and economic development strategy.  

 
Bearden will begin the webinar with a look at the economy and recent legislation affecting small businesses including the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), $20 minimum wage increase for fast food workers, wage theft, and more. 
 
Questions from attendees will be taken.
