"“Judy Mahan was a Godsend. She was enthusiastic about what Mazen is doing, knew some of the players the CEO was dealing with and was well connected to the investment community. She has continued to be a supporter and cheerleader as well as provided pitch coaching. Her support, mentoring and relationship building has positively contributed to Mazen’s success in finding additional investors ultimately leading to data demonstrating that the dream of oral vaccination can be realized.” –Jenny Filbey, CEO of Mazen Animal Health

Mazen Animal Health

Mazen is developing orally-delivered animal vaccines that revolutionize animal disease prevention. Jenny Filbey founded Mazen in 2016 and began the adventure of raising money to fuel the dream of edible vaccines. Initial angel financing enabled early product development and production. Jenny recently closed a strategic partnership and a $2M Series Seed round, funding a pivotal animal study and addition of key team members. Mazen now has proof that oral vaccination works – demonstrating that pregnant sows, when orally vaccinated with Mazen’s product, provided protection to newborn pigs from sickness and death from the target disease. Jenny and the team will continue to lead the company to product approval, team expansion, pipeline growth and ultimately company exit.
